Dopo la canzone di Antonello Venditti e il film di Muccino, la “Notte prima degli esami” è diventata un luogo comune, ovvero una definizione per parlare e sparlare della condizione psicologica in cui si trovano i candidati che devono affrontare la prima importante prova della loro vita, ovvero quello che una volta era chiamato “esame di maturità” e che, sulla base della norma del far vedere che qualcosa cambia per non cambiare niente, è poi diventato “esame di stato”.
Nelle finzioni cinematografiche vediamo ragazzini innamorati vagolare tutta la notte, arrivare all’ultimo minuto dell’appello, occuparsi di tutto tranne che studiare. Oddio, c’è pure qualcuno che studia e che ripete mnemonicamente le solite banalità che costituiscono gli elementi su cui si basano i compiti scritti e il colloquio orale. Per esempio “il fanciullino” di Pascoli, il “superuomo” di Nietzsche, il “pessimismo cosmico” di Leopardi, le “illusioni” di Foscolo, la “tettonica a zolle”, che non è una ragazza con le tette grosse, ma lo studio dei terremoti, l’elettricità causata dallo strofinio di un astuccio di penna sulla lana, che attrae il pezzettino di carta, e altre amenità di questo tipo, per non parlare del “ritratto di Dorian Gray” e dell’estetismo di primo novecento o dell’urlo di Munch e dell’irrazionalità del cosiddetto “secolo breve”, che ha dato luogo ai fenomeni totalitari del fascismo, del nazismo e dello stalinismo: sarebbe il caso anche di metterci il “maccartismo” americano, quando si finiva in carcere per il semplice sospetto di simpatie marxiste, ma nessuno sa che cos’è. Per non citare, ma chi riflette su questa cifra?, dei 56 milioni di morti causati dalla seconda guerra mondiale. Qui si ferma per la maggior parte dei candidati e dei prof. che li hanno preparati, la conoscenza di quello che è successo in passato. Ignorato o sfiorato quello che è successo dagli anni ’50 ad oggi.
Non parleremo della notte prima, ma del giorno prima, perché la notte dovrebbe essere fatta per riposare e prepararsi serenamente alla prova scritta d’Italiano che avrà luogo domani. Ieri si sono insediate le commissioni che valuteranno gli 11 mila candidati in Sicilia ammessi all’esame. L’ammissione è l’ultimo gradino della scala e prevede uno scrutinio da parte del Consiglio di classe, che valuta, con apposito punteggio, chi dovrà sostenere la prova. Da qualche anno, dopo le ammissioni all’unanimità degli anni passati, i freni si sono un po’, ma solo un poco stretti, dal momento che basta una materia in cui il candidato non ha la sufficienza, per non essere ammessi. Ma basta anche che si trasformi, con un colpo di penna il cinque o il quattro in sei ed è fatta. È stato calcolato, da un quotidiano, che è di 156 il numero dei non ammessi all’esame in Sicilia. Per loro si dovrà ripetere l’ultimo anno. Mentre gli studenti “studiano” su come disporsi sui banchi, in compagnia di quali compagni che li possano meglio aiutare, mentre altri studiano le strategie per fare “entrare” il compito già svolto, ieri si sono insediate le commissioni e il presidente, i quali hanno dato un’occhiata alle carte, ai profili dei candidati, alle tesine da essi presentate, ai programmi svolti e persino ai locali in cui si svolgeranno le prove, per assicurarsi che non ci siano possibilità di far pervenire il compito dall’esterno. Pia illusione, perché il compito, in un modo o in un altro arriva sempre, considerato che, nel momento in cui il presidente detta i titoli della prova d’Italiano e gli elementi della seconda prova, già all’esterno si sa tutto e si mette in atto la macchina per fornire al candidato che fa finta di scrivere, gli elementi per realizzare un buon elaborato.
I candidati saranno chiamati a cimentarsi con la prova A, che prevede l’analisi del testo loro fornito, o con la prova B, che prevede l’elaborazione di un saggio breve o di un articolo di giornale. C’è poi la prova C, ovvero il tema storico che pochissimi scelgono, mentre tutti si buttano sul tema di attualità. Durata della prova sei ore. Non sono consentite pause per merende o per bibite, ma solo per andare in bagno, dove una volta si cercava il tema svolto tra le varie cartuccelle di cui i candidati erano imbottiti. Oggi con i cellulari si fa più presto, anche se il loro uso è proibito e potrebbe comportare l’annullamento della prova per il candidato che si fa scoprire. Intanto si è scatenata su internet la corsa agli autori o agli argomenti: il più gettonato è il terrorismo, ma si parla anche di migranti e migrazioni, di cambi climatici, di legalità, a seguito dei 25 anni dalla morte di Falcone e Borsellino, di Europa unita, in relazione ai 60 anni dalla firma dei trattati di Roma e della Brexit. Gli autori da cui potrebbe essere tratto il brano da commentare sono i soliti, ovvero Ungaretti, Montale, Saba, qualcuno pensa a Pasolini o a Gramsci, qualche altro ripiega sui “classici” Foscolo, Leopardi, Manzoni.
Insomma, ce n’è per tutte le ruote e tutto è stato sottoposto all’attenzione del ministro dell’Istruzione Valeria Fedeli, che, come si sa, non ha avuto un regolare corso di studi. Per quel che riguarda le rinunce, pare che quest’anno non ce ne siano molte. Si tratta di quei professori che non vogliono fare esami e presentano certificato medico. Il tutto è in relazione al pagamento dell’eventuale missione, che farebbe decollare il compenso oltre i duemila euro, oppure alla semplice diaria, di poco meno di mille euro, qualora il posto in cui si è nominati sia facilmente raggiungibile. Il provveditorato provvederà al ricambio, mentre i genitori dei candidati si affretteranno a sguinzagliare le loro conoscenze alla ricerca di chi può essere utile a fare arrivare al commissario la raccomandazione per il proprio figliuolo. E quindi, mentre si dà il via al baraccone, auguri a tutti i candidati, anzi, in bocca al lupo, anzi, in culo all’elefante, per conseguire un buon punteggio e togliersi questa montagna dalle spalle. Nei giorni che verranno cercheremo di seguire le loro peripezie passo per passo.
