Una storia crudele che vede al centro una minorenne privata della sua fanciullezza.
La Storia di Rita Atria, come testata giornalistica Le Siciliane e Associazione Antimafie Rita Atria in questi anni, l’abbiamo raccontata e ricordata attraversando non solo l’aspetto emotivo ma soprattutto studiando e cercando di superare le delusioni, le paure e perché no? i tradimenti. La non fiducia nei nostri confronti – rappresentanti una antimafia poco istituzionale, una antimafia spettinata ci disse qualcuno che ci è molto vicino.
Da parecchi anni l’Associazione Antimafie Rita Atria e la testata giornalistica LESICILIANE si è deciso insieme di non affidarci più alla narrativa fin qui offerta da diversi libri e di scrivere un libro sulla vera, scomoda storia della ragazzina di Partanna. Basta con i vari credo di aver visto … ho saputo da … partecipato con … Abbiamo cercato, osservato, studiato, ascoltato. Abbiamo superato le nostre timidezze e abbiamo dato corso alle nostra esigenza di Verità e Giustizia.
Siamo scesi in pista.
Siamo entrati negli archivi angusti e polverosi (poco frequentati) delle procure e abbiamo iniziato a leggere, ricostruire …
Quella di Partanna negli anni 80, 90, era una mafia importante, feroce crudele e molto vicina alla mafia che contava, decideva, uccideva. Condizionava. Una mafia sottovalutata e messa sempre ai margini nei racconti delle grandi testate. Nelle testimonianze altolocate.
Un contesto che avvalora ulteriormente il coraggio di Rita Atria. Ma anche di Piera Aiello e qualcun’altra che decise testimoniare.
Il libro che suggellerà il trentesimo anniversario della morte della ragazza di Partanna nasce dall’esigenza dopo quasi trenta anni di memoria attiva e lotte per onorarne la memoria dalla voglia di raccontare il vero contesto storico di Partanna negli anni in cui Rita lì è vissuta, respirandone gli odori mafiosi e del malaffare.
Un Grazie immenso al Tribunale e alla procura di Marsala, grazie a tutti, dalla Presidente del Tribunale al Procuratore, funzionarie e funzionari, direttrici e direttori, dipendenti tutti, senza il loro lavoro di accoglienza, cura e ricerca non avremmo raggiunto questi risultati. Quei faldoni avrebbero scoraggiato chiunque. Quelle cassette audio così datate soprattutto dal punto di vista della tecnologia, così delicate e precarie non avrebbero preso consistenza, ma dietro la cura di ogni singolo millimetro alla fine anche i nastri hanno deciso di sbloccarsi e tornare a girare.
