Due tumori hanno strappato alla vita Michele Liguori, vigile urbano di Acerra, avvelenato dai rifiuti della Terra dei Fuochi che quotidianamente documentava e denunciava.
«Arriva Michele, Michele Liguori. Lui fa foto, denuncia e combatte… il grido di uno schiavo che si oppone ad un re sia più forte delle pecore che in coro fan bee», le parole della canzone della Quadrilla Folk Band sono la sintesi migliore della vita di Michele Liguori.
Vigile urbano ad Acerra, unico componente, ostacolato e boicottato, del nucleo ecologico.
All’alba del 19 gennaio 2014 è morto, devastato da due tumori. Nel giorno in cui le truppe cammellate del sovversivismo delle classi dirigenti (come lo definì Antonio Gramsci) raggiungono l’apice dell’omaggio a Bottino Craxi ricordare il sacrificio di Michele Liguori è ancor più doveroso. Quelle classi dirigenti che, nella stessa terra di Michele Liguori, ogni giorno partecipano al sistema criminale della «Terra dei Fuochi»: politici di ogni schieramento, alti esponenti delle forze dell’ordine e anche personaggi dei servizi segreti erano alleati, complici e servi di Cipriano Chianese, il cui sistema era già stato documentato negli Anni Novanta da un altro grande lottatore per la giustizia come Roberto Mancini.
Nonostante l’avversione e il contrasto di tanti, anche nel suo stesso ambiente di lavoro, Michele Liguori ogni giorno percorreva le strade e le periferie di Acerra, fotografava, denunciava, si immergeva letteralmente nelle discariche abusive della camorra. Perché, dichiarò a La Stampa poco prima di morire, ormai inchiodato al letto dalla malattia, «non potevo far finta di niente, a me i vigliacchi non piacciono».
«Un giorno è tornato con le suole che si squagliavano sul pavimento della cucina – ha raccontato la moglie Maria Di Buono – non so dove avesse camminato, ma le scarpe erano letteralmente in decomposizione. Un’altra volta ha perso la voce all’improvviso. Certe notti lo annusavo sconcertata, trasudava odore chimico, puzzava di pneumatici bruciati». Ma il suo costante impegno e la sua incessante ricerca di giustizia, raccontati nel libro Il cavaliere errante – La vera storia di Michele Liguori, il vigile eroe della Terra dei Fuochi, non furono riconosciuti ma addirittura boicottati e considerata un fastidio. In vita, ma anche dopo la sua morte.
Per due anni fu incaricato di aprire la porta del castello del paese, considerato “troppo zelante” in servizio, ma riuscì a tornare – sempre in totale solitudine – alle indagini ambientali. Fino alla malattia che lo strappò alla vita il 19 gennaio di 6 anni fa. Una malattia, i due tumori (una rara forma al fegato e un alto livello di pcb nel sangue) che gli devastarono il corpo, riconosciuta dall’Inail come malattia professionale. Eppure il 12 marzo 2018 il Ministero dell’Interno si rifiutò di riconoscerlo vittima del dovere, secondo i funzionari «la malattia non può riconoscersi dipendente dai fatti di servizio, in quanto, nei precedenti di servizio dell’interessato non risultano fattori specifici potenzialmente idonei a dar luogo ad una genesi neoplastica. Pertanto è da escludere ogni nesso di causalità e o di non causalità non sussistendo, altresì nel caso di specie, precedenti infermità o lesioni imputabili al servizio che col tempo possano essere evolute in senso metaplastico» .
Un linguaggio asettico e burocratico con il quale lo Stato italiano ha deciso di cancellare le denunce di un suo servitore con la schiena dritta. Una scelta vergognosa contro cui la moglie si è ribellata subito con un ricorso accolto il 17 ottobre dello stesso anno.
Ad Acerra sono stati sversati rifiuti tossici persino nel parco archeologico, tonnellate di banconote della zecca, destinate al macero, sono state seppellite con amianto, materiali gassosi che innescavano fiammate improvvise, vecchi telefoni a rotelle della Sip, liquami delle industrie del Nord. Per anni i clan dei casalesi tra Villa Literno e Acerra hanno sversato i rifiuti della Caffaro di Brescia, l’industria che ha prodotto pcb (che avvelenò il sangue di Michele Liguori) dal 1936 al 1984.
Secondo un pentito un’impresa edile locale, dal 1998 al 2005, è stata costruita usando cemento impastato con amianto. Impresa di proprietà della famiglia Pellini. I fratelli Pellini – Giovanni, Salvatore (ex maresciallo dei Carabinieri), nel processo scaturito dall’operazione Carosello Ultimo Atto (2003), sono stati condannati in appello dalla IV sezione penale di Napoli per disastro ambientale nel 2015. Condanna confermata il 17 maggio 2017 dalla Cassazione. Secondo l’accusa, rifiuti industriali del Nord – con l’artificio del giro bolla (la sostituzione dei codici Cer e il cambio di tipologia del rifiuto) – venivano declassificati in non pericolosi e sversati nelle campagne dell’agro nolano e casertano come compost o depositati in cave tra Acerra, Giugliano, Qualiano e l’area flegrea di Bacoli. «Una mole rilevante di rifiuti gestiti contra legem attraverso uno smaltimento illegale e uno sversamento di essi sulle aree e le zone a destinazione agricola», hanno scritto i giudici nella sentenza di condanna, «senza il rispetto delle minime regole che permettono l’individuazione delle sostanze in essi contenuti, così producendo una lesione all’equilibrio ambientale di proporzioni assolutamente gravi. Si genera, allora, il pericolo per la pubblica incolumità, pur in assenza di eventi di morte o lesioni».
In questi anni il più attivo nel contrastare i fratelli Pellini, con ripetute denunce, è stato Alessandro Cannavacciuolo, residente ad Acerra e nipote di Vincenzo (un pastore morto, nel 2007, avvelenato dalla diossina a 59 anni), ha subìto varie minacce e intimidazioni: la mattina del 5 novembre del 2015 Alessandro Cannavacciuolo trovò morti (avvelenati) i suoi due pastori maremmani, Sergente e Belle. Nel 2008 le pecore della famiglia sono state abbattute per l’eccessiva presenza di diossina nel sangue.
