Rosetta Malaspina in scena a Pescara con Rita Atria e Felicia Impastato
Appuntamento domenica prossima alle 18.30 presso il teatro Cordova.
La Compagnia dei Merli Bianchi in collaborazione con l’Anpi Pescara e provinciale, l’associazione culturale Casa Memoria Felicia e Peppino Impastato e l’associazione antimafie Rita Atria presenta il libro e omonimo spettacolo “Rosetta Malaspina ovvero da un punto dell’eternità” di e con Laura Margherita Di Marco, edito da Arsenio edizioni (2022). L’evento è inserito nel nuovo modulo de “I Fiori della Memoria“, denominato “Donne e Lotta, l’Amore Partigiano” che apre uno spaccato sul mondo femminile nella storia dell’antimafia e della resistenza partigiana.
L’evento si svolgerà Domenica 10 aprile, con ingresso previsto alle ore 18.30, presso il Teatro Cordova di Pescara (PE), ed inizierà con lo spettacolo teatrale “Rosetta Malaspina, ovvero da un punto dell’eternità” di e con Margherita Di Marco, regia di Vincenzo Mercurio e proseguirà con la presentazione dell’omonimo libro edito Arsenio Edizioni.
L’autrice e attrice Laura Margherita Di Marco dialogherà con l’editrice Valeria Di Felice, Luisa Impastato (presidente di Casa Memoria Felicia e Peppino Impastato), Nadia Furnari (vice-presidente dell’Associazione Antimafie Rita Atria) e Nicola Trifuoggi (presidente dell’ANPI Pescara).
Modera Nicola Palombaro – presidente ANPI provinciale di Pescara.

È una terra di confine dove ogni giorno occorre affrontare i nemici, resistere e trovare nuove forme di sopravvivenza. Come può una donna ribellarsi ad un intero sistema? Marietta aveva utilizzato la follia; Felicia Impastato la ricerca tenace della verità; Rita Atria scelse un atto estremo; mia nonna Amina con la difesa incondizionata dell’Amore. L’eco di queste voci ritorna da un punto dell’eternità, dopo un lungo viaggio per difendere chi non ha voce nel mondo» (dalla prefazione di Claudio La Camera)
Lo spettacolo è ispirato alla storia vera di una donna e poetessa calabrese che prova a resistere e reagire alla sottocultura dominante nella Calabria degli anni ’50, e che da tutti viene considerata, semplicemente, pazza. Rosetta Malaspina costruisce e racconta, attraverso il linguaggio della poesia, la sua personalissima visione della realtà che per tutti diventa però follia. L’unico modo che ha per sopravvivere è quello di costruirsi un altro mondo, piccolo quanto una stanza. Con la poesia gioca come su un’altalena che la fa volare e divertire per poi ritornare nel tempo in cui vive, con la rabbia di chi urla al vento i pensieri di una profonda solitudine. Le parole di Rosetta sono forti, estreme e commoventi; col suo essere in bilico tra poesia e pura realtà diventa motivo di confronto e riflessione su quanti diritti e opportunità ci siano ancora da affermare, oggi come ieri.
A portare in scena il personaggio di Rosetta è l’attrice Laura Margherita Di Marco che ha realmente conosciuto la donna nel piccolo paese di Caulonia, raccogliendone la commovente testimonianza. Lo spettacolo è accompagnato dal libro Rosetta Malaspina ovvero da un punto dell’eternità – storia di uno spettacolo, scritto per raccontare la genesi e la storia dello spettacolo (dalla presentazione dello spettacolo).
