Oggi si festeggia l’onomastico di tutti i Salvatore, compreso il sottoscritto.
Non ho mai capito la relazione con la Trasfigurazione di Gesù, che, cade in questo giorno e che è l’episodio con cui è messo in relazione l’onomastico. L’episodio della trasfigurazione è narrato nei Vangeli di Marco (9,2-8), di Matteo, (17,1-8), e di Luca (9,28-36). Vi si narra come Gesù chiamò i discepoli Pietro, Giacomo e Giovanni,, si appartò con loro e cambiò aspetto mostrandosi in tutto il suo splendore della persona, avvolto nel candore delle vesti. Con lui apparvero Mosè ed Elia che conversavano insieme, mentre una voce possente, proveniente da una nube, diceva Gesù era figlio di Dio. A volere fare qualche forzatura interpretativa si potrebbe leggere l’episodio nel senso di un continuo passaggio, “trans” insito nella “trans-figurazione”, cioè nella metamorfosi della propria immagine, nella “trans-scendenza”, cioè nell’andare oltre la propria condizione umana, nella figura di Mosè, che fa “trans-sitare” il suo popolo attraverso le acque, verso la terra promessa (si potrebbe richiamare Caronte, che con la sua barca fa”transitare” le anime verso l’Ade), nella figura di Elia, che rappresenta la profetica visione del lungo “tra-gitto” dall’antico al Nuovo Testamento. Più difficile la scelta di Aldo ,scusate ,Pietro, Giovanni e Giacomo. Giovanni è il discepolo prediletto, ma nel suo Vangelo, pur essendo l’unico testimone diretto, non parla dell’episodio. Pietro e Giacomo sono gli originari pescatori; su Pietro si potrebbe ipotizzare un “transito” verso la nuova età che nascerà dopo la morte di Cristo e che vedrà in Pietro l’erede e il successore della nuova “ecclesia”. Mi fermo lì, perché è evidente che ci troviamo davanti a una delle tante “teofanie” di cui è ricca la Bibbia e attraverso cui la divinità mostra la sua potenza. Ma anche la mitologia greca è ricca di teofanie, come quella di Zeus che mostra la sua potenza a Semele, incenerendola, o Psiche, che scopre di nascosto la bellezza divina del suo sposo Eros”
Tutto questo con Salvatore c’entra davvero poco, anche perché l’elemento della Salvezza, della divinità che s’incarna per riscattare gli uomini dal peccato, dovrebbe essere più vicino alle festività del Natale o di Pasqua. A meno di non volere recepire l’interpretazione del “passaggio”, che comunque è più pertinente con la Pasqua, il cui termine ebraico significa proprio “passaggio”. E comunque, qualcuno ha deciso così e così si fa. Secondo altre interpretazioni l’onomastico di Salvatore dovrebbe cadere nel giorno del Corpus Domini, che è una festa mobile, come la Pasqua, e quindi la data cambia ogni anno.
Il nome Salvatore non si riconosce in un qualsiasi santo, ma nello stesso Cristo che manifesta la sua potenza trasfigurandosi. Meglio di così! Auguri a tutti i Salvatore, ai Salvo, ai Totò, ai Totucci, ai Salvucci e ai Salvini, ma non a Matteo, il cui onomastico, assieme a quello di Renzi e di Messina Denaro, (i tre Mattei), si celebra il 21 settembre.
