MONREALE – Il sindaco Alberto Arcidiacono incontra settimanalmente i medici di famiglia da remoto per monitorare la situazione nel territorio. Intanto nella città normanna salgono a oltre 100 i cittadini positivi. Sono quattro le persone ricoverate in ospedale, per lo più si tratta di non vaccinati. “Il 96% dei cittadini è asintomatico o raffreddato”, sottolinea Alberto Arcidiacono.
A San Marino delle Scale l’Abbazia Benedettina è stata chiusa a causa di un caso di Covid19 tra i frati ma sono tanti i casi in città a causa della variante Omicron. “Il ruolo dei medici di famiglia in questa fase di emergenza covid è di fondamentale importanza per l’indispensabile supporto che stanno dando ai cittadini che hanno contratto il virus e nella gestione dell’epidemia”.
Ogni settimana il sindaco di Monreale Alberto Arcidiacono, al fine di monitorare la situazione nel territorio, verificare lo stato di salute e intraprendere iniziative utili per fronteggiare l’emergenza, incontra da remoto i medici per discutere delle criticità emerse a causa dell’aumento esponenziale di casi. In particolare, nel corso degli incontri si è discusso delle esigenze che i medici raffigurano essendo essi il contatto diretto con i pazienti ai quali danno grande supporto e fondamentale sostegno per gestire la malattia e velocizzare la guarigione.
“Ringrazio tutti i medici che si stanno adoperando con grande impegno e professionalità in questa emergenza – dichiara Arcidiacono -. Tengo a precisare quanto il loro supporto e la loro esperienza siano indispensabili nell’assistenza dei pazienti e nel contenimento della pandemia”.
