Nei territori del Sud Italia si afferma l’istanza di assumere coscienza della propria identità e diventare consapevoli della necessità di reagire alla sottomissione voluta dal Nord.
L’affermarsi della Lega Nord, ora Lega, nei territori del Sud Italia sembra aver testimoniato l’indolenza del popolo meridionale rispetto al predominare del potere politico del Nord, che si configura come una vera e propria sottomissione che lo priva della propria identità culturale e storica.
C’è da chiedersi: “Il Sud è stato conquistato?”
Non poche sono state le offese nei confronti del popolo meridionale, definito con epiteti quali “terrone”, “sporco”, “straccione” ed altri. Non è stata certo testimonianza di civiltà ritenere il popolo meridionale una razza inferiore. È recente l’atteggiamento razzistico di una testata giornalistica del Nord, il cui Direttore ha etichettato il popolo meridionale con il termine “terrone”. Ed ecco che alcuni quotidiani del Sud Italia, ed in particolare uno, che intendono veicolare la voce del popolo meridionale, rispondono ed affermano che il Sud ha intenzione di far vivere la propria identità, sia lottando contro la mafia, sia contro le correnti politiche che lo umiliano e lo impoveriscono, nonché contro alcune forme di comunicazione che veicolano razzismo e divisionismo.
Si profila una guerra tra testate giornalistiche, ossia tra giornali del Sud e giornali del Nord, che porrà in luce la fermezza del mezzogiorno nel reagire, mediante la comunicazione mediatica, alle offese “ataviche” ed ingiustificate proprie di un certa mentalità del popolo settentrionale, da cui scaturirà la rivendicazione concreta e decisa del proprio ruolo socio- economico e politico. È certo che un nuovo fermento politico ed ideologico sta nascendo nel cuore del Sud Italia, che si prefigge di rendere il mezzogiorno italiano competitivo e protagonista nell’ambito della scenario nazionale ed internazionale, non più succube di scelte che piovono dall’alto. È certamente una reazione da cui scaturirà quanto sia immensa la ricchezza della storia e delle tradizioni del popolo meridionale.
Non vi è dubbio che le nuove generazioni vorranno rendere ubertose le terre del Sud Italia e restituire dignità e valore sociale, politico ed economico al popolo che lo abita.
